Our Process

1. Initial Consultation
Your beautiful new kitchen or bath will start with a visit to our showroom. At this important meeting we will be getting to know you and defining your goals for the project. We will discuss layout options, appliance locations and storage solutions. We will exchange ideas, learn what your priorities are and establish a comfortable budget. We will work with you from beginning to completion to achieve your goals and make you another happy customer.
2. Design
The design process begins after careful survey of measurements. If your project is new construction we will work initially from your architectural drawings and field measure when appropriate. Our cabinet line is fully custom which allows for the most efficient use of your available space. We will design with your requirements in mind, tackle any problem areas and present you with the best layout for your kitchen or bath. However large or small your project - we will give it our full attention, expertise and enthusiasm.
3. Presentation
This is an hour long comprehensive meeting to present and discuss the proposed plan. We will review the floor plan and elevations, consider selections of materials for cabinets and countertop and discuss budget options. We will address the mechanics such as appliances, venting and plumbing. If desired, you may obtain copies of the plans at this point with a retainer. The retainer will be deducted from the total cost upon ordering.
4. Proposal and Order
A proposal will be presented once all necessary details have been addressed and agreed upon. Acceptance of the proposal will initiate the order process. This process begins with a footprint of your layout being drawn on site. This is very helpful to your builder, plumber and electrician. We will also organize and distribute your appliance specs to the appropriate trades, greatly reducing errors and assuring a smooth and timely finish.
5. Delivery
All Brookhaven and Wood-Mode cabinets are made to order. Their fabrication is 8 to 12 weeks depending on your specific order. There is no charge for delivery and we will notify you regarding delivery arrangements. Storage is available but is additional and estimated according to space and length of time needed.
6. Installation and Completion
The installation of your cabinetry can take a week or more depending on the complexity of your project. Countertop installation follows in 7 to 14 days. Next will be appliances and lastly tile backsplash. The installation of the cabinetry is noted on our proposals, however the installer will bill you directly for the installation. Francie Milano Kitchens works with only the most qualified and experienced trades people from this area to deliver a beautiful and lasting kitchen that you will enjoy for years to come.
7. Additional Costs
There is no charge for preliminary consultations, designs or presentation meetings.

A retainer is required to obtain copies of drawings and plans. Upon acceptance of our proposal a 50% deposit is required to initiate the order process.
